15m Catamaran
Reel Action, a 15m high speed aluminium charter fishing catamaran, came to RMS as a bare hull and with very limited information on the scope of work to be undertaken. The objective loosely offered up was to complete the vessel to 2C survey and to white boat standard.
RMS has provided all of the engineering, electrical, fit out, painting, welding and fabrication works under the guidance of our project manager and in cooperation with the owner's on-site representative.
A wide range of obstacles have accompanied this project owing to challenges with the design and ongoing changes to the specification.
Despite the obstacles RMS has remained flexible in its approach to deal with issues before they become expensive problems.
George and Mildred, 15m tugs
Bhagwan Marine, a Western Australia based fleet hire operator to the oil and gas industry, and with over 40 vessels in service on the West Coast entrusted Revolution Marine Services (RMS) to take on two bare hulls that they had procured and complete the build of two 15m tug boats; the George and Mildred.
RMS provided all of the engineering, electrical, fit out, painting, welding and fabrication works under the guidance of our project manager and in cooperation with the owner's on-site representative.
The biggest obstacles to overcome were a very tight build time schedule and a constantly changing scope of work, all of which were overcome successfully.
Despite the obstacles both tugs were ready for sea trials within 5 months of a standing start, through the use of highly skilled and well organised tradesmen who were led by a first rate project management team. The ever changing scope of works was handled by remaining flexible and maintaining effective communications with Bhagwan.
